Etermar installs the longest pipe section ever in it's history!

On last February the 24th we have completed the installation of the longest pipe section in the company’s history.

From the vast list of outfalls built by Etermar, never had we installed such a long section of pipeline in a single operation. During the project for the Raoued’s Submarine Outfall, in Tunisia, we have installed on the sea bottom a pipe section of 1291 meters in a single operation, surpassing this way the previous record of 914 meters achieved during the construction of the Submarine outfall of Rabat, Morocco, on September 2008. This project includes the construction of a header tank (surge chamber), construction of a protection dike, driving of a double curtain of sheet piles in an extension of 420 meters, dredging of 2000 meters of trench, casting of 1300 concrete ballast ring and 356 blocks for the diffuser protection, assembly and installation of 6300 meters of Ø 1600mm HDPE pipe. Supported on a significant number of marine and land equipment units, as well as on the knowhow and experience of the technical team, the company hereby felicitates and expresses its gratitude to all workers involved in an operation of this magnitude.
